My buddies Yan & Bailey, my girlfriend & I all went off shore today. We rounded the jetties around 8AM got back around 3PM.

(6) 15LB Red Snapper
(3) Mangroves
(1) 15-20LB King
(1) Triple Tail

We left the jetties and headed out 20NM to our first stop just to check for Ling. Yan jumped in & checked out the area. He saw some snapper so we decide to jump in. We nailed 4 snapper at the first stop plus a king. My girlfriend hooked up to a nice triple tail on our weed line encounter. There were several others but we only managed one.

We stopped at 2 more rigs within visual range of the rig we came from. We managed a few more snapper for the boat plus a couple more mangroves.

Calm seas all day made for a wonderful day on the water.

Happy 4th!

Hopefully the GoPro footage comes out I was recording when I shot a mangrove just rolled it over instant death. It was my first time using the head strap mount underwater plus a mask all while trying to hold a speargun and shoot :lol: I can't download the video until I get back to my house tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

That looks fun but I'm afraid if I got down there and saw a shark I would piss myself. Be like on the cartoons when they swim real fast to the surface and shoot up in the air about 50ft :lol:

it does look like a blast...i just have 0 experience with that kind of stuff. i showed that vid to my wife and told her one day im gonna go fishing with that dude......i'd be down for a redfish or sticking a flounder. but if you got to feeling froggy and wanted to dive after something chances are i'd be sitting in the boat drinking a beer and waiting on ya :lol: after a few beers though i probably would be ready to go to the next level and put a mask on and hang my head over the side of the boat and watch :mrgreen:
