I have the same gen. and I run 8 150 watt HPS lights with no problem. I I would build it again I would put 10 lights. Dont forget to put caps in your lights so it will draw less power and I fine they do not flicker as much. |

I run 4 x 400w Hps on the front and 2 x 150w Hps on the gen rack in the back and have complete coverage |

I wouldn't change anything just wosh I would have bought the 400w sooner I started with 5 x150 w then added 2 x400w with 3 150 between them and I could unplug the 150w and never even notice now I have the 4x400w in some alumni Housings I built with a ballast box and 2 150w in the back in case I pass over a fish I'll try to remember to take a pic next time I go out |

We have 8 hps 400watt they are super bright. Lot more stuff went into them building housing and stuff .kind nice with the 150 cuz we could run a small genny alot quieter. Seemed simpler to me . But I remember shooting fish in a 2 man scamp with a spot light too lol. Depends on how much ya want to spend and how serious ya are |

I'm guessin 2200 surge watts so prolly (guessing) 1500- 1600 running watts so 4 300's or 150's just make sure you have one or two on the bow, helps more than you think.... I noticed when I was running 3 500's on my 2000 genny that it would really bog it down when they were plugged in and even overheat.... I then put in 300 bulbs in 4 500 housings and they were so much brighter and the genie sounded and performed a lot better! |

4 x 400s if the gen. will push it. thats what i run. went from 12 halos to these. no comparison. digital ballasts and homemade fixtures. do 2 400s and 2 250s if the gen is 2200 peak watts. im talking about hps by the way |

You don't want to run more than 80% of your total W capacity. 1760 W for you. Caps are a good idea but a little more expensive. I run 7 300W off my 1750 gator trax spaced approximately every 12 inches and a Honda 3000. Without caps you could run 8 150s no prob and have plenty of coverage. Plenty of variations. No need to jam lights together though. |
