Post subject:  Help with polling platform!!

Just got my platform in today. It came with 6 screws and there are 6 holes to mount it onto the boat. But it also came with another screw with a long gold bolt on it. What is this for? And do you just drill a hole into your boat a little smaller than the bolt and just wrench it in? Maybe someone has recently put one on and will know what im talking about. Thanks

Rivnuts. the gold piece goes in the boat. You will have to drill holes. Fit the rivnuts into the holes. When you put the platform on and align the holes, screw bolts in. Tightening bolts makes the rivnuts expand like an anchor. The big bolt and nut is for installing and tightening rivnuts. Call Godevil, they will walk ya through it. I did it myself and it was a breeze.

It came with only one of these. And 6 regular bolts with no nuts or rivnuts. Just lock washers
