I have a couple engineers i've been working with who want me to take the shoot some ducks. they are here legally but i'm not sure on what means (ie. dual citizenship, work visa, permanent resident card). i do know they are not hear on any sort of temporary basis. they do not have any sort of hunter safety course. Do i have to get them through a course or is there some sort of temporary weekend pass? |

How much money they makin? Best bet would be to try and not get caught and bribe the warden if he checks you. |

Some state's allow you to pay a fee and defer the hunters safety course for 1 year. Although it ain't a bad idea to encourage them to take it, especially if they are novice hunters. They should be able to take a course online... |

All they will need is the proper non-resident licenses and Fed duck stamp. No person born on or after Sept. 1, 1969, shall procure a hunting license of any kind, unless that person has been issued a certificate of satisfactorily completion of a Hunter Education course approved by LDWF. • EXCEPT a person who has not completed a hunter education course may be issued a license with the restriction that they are accompanied by, and under the direct supervision of a person 18 years of age or older who has a valid hunting license or proof of successful completion of a hunter education course. •EXCEPT a person younger than 16 years of age may hunt without such certificate if they are accompanied by, and under the direct supervision, of a person 18 years of age or older who has a valid hunting license or proof of successful completion of a hunter education course. “Direct Supervision” means that the person being supervised shall be within normal audible voice proximity and in direct line of sight of the supervising adult at all times while hunting. • EXCEPT This requirement shall not apply to any active or veteran member of the United States armed services or any POST-certified law enforcement officer who may be issued a hunter education exemption. Application for this exemption may be filed at the LDWF office in Baton Rouge (225-765-2932) or any regional field office. For information on scheduling a hunter education course log on to http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov or call 225-765-2932. |

Might not be a bad idea to hit the local shooting range also. Maybe even if you have a skeet range close by take them there to get the basics down. Good luck and hope they have a great time. |
