Just put 6 HPS 150 watt lights on my boat , 3.2 running amps. No caps. Tried using a Honda EB 3000 C. Which is the CycloConverter, turned on just two lights and all they did was flicker, turned on two more and breaker tripped. Used a 5500 watt generator and it runs all 6 lights. Can anyone tell me what I need to due. I would like to run a smaller genny. |

You may try to pm jpeater. I know he's pretty knowledgeable about lights. |

Try turning em on one at a time after one is warmed it should only draw about 2 amps it may take awhile but may work Sent from Inspire 4g |

make sure the bulbs are screwed in tight and if the are make sure power is off and look in side the socket and pull that tab up slightly to make a good connection |

I did some research and there is a difference in a converter, inverter, and a generator. I don't think these converters will run the balist |

You need to get caps or even better swap out to HPF ballast, I had the same problem when I got my first set up. Couldn't run 6 150 NPF HPS on a 2800W. Switched to HPF ballasts and no more problems. Those NPF ballast are junk and use way too much power. |
