I just got one yesterday. I'm fishing Saturday and mud boat sunday, so I should have a new video up by Sunday/Monday. Bullsprig- what edit software are you using? I played around with windows movie maker last night. It's fairly straight forwarder and it usually comes preloaded on most new PCs. If not you can downloadit for free. |

From what I can see, it will hold up just fine. The cases it came with are very tough and the waterproof one seems to be legit. I would say that as long as you can keep up with it, there shouldn't be any problems. You might want to check with Coe on that. I think he has had his for a while but still seems to be an advocate for the go pro. As for the editing software, I have done a few things with movie maker and it seems to be able to everything I want to do. I talked with a friend of mine who was a film and digicom major in college and he told me that unless you want to do some major editing (trying to mesh a lot of camera angles with sound in real time) then the movie maker would be the easiest program out there. You can easily cut out extra photage, mesh pictures with video, and add music where needed. I don't' know if you have seen this yet, but you can adjust volume by the clip so you can go from background music to real sound and back to music fairly easily. |

You can definitiely change the speed on a clip. I think it is under the edit feature for th version available in windows 7, but not sure. If not, just look through all the options because I know it is there somewhere. Im on a different computer right now so can't say for certain where it is. |

My shotgun "Camera" is not a GoPro. The GoPro has a circular "tripod" mount & doesn't fit on the gun mount I have. (It can I just didn't want to modify it) So I went with my Canon digital camera in video mode shooting 640x480. I plan on upgrading cameras soon. It sits inside my waterproof case. Here's the mount I have & use: http://www.rakdup.com/rakduprutpak2.aspx |
