I may have just found a new hobby!


I was plowin' Monday when a big coyote walked out da tall grass 40 yds. in front my tractor and lazily walked across where I had plowed right into my wood patch..... without ever even lookin my way...... like I wasn't even der.... within 1000' of my house.

I had an epiphany.... it was then I decided it was time to do sumthin about dem bastards. lol

So I drug out an ol' e-caller we used to use on da snow geese on foggy mornins. I had got sum coyote tapes yrs. ago but never fooled with it.

Then I got me a Borden's milk crate for a low profile seat.... and I lashed together 2 old bamboo stakes dat I used to tie crawfish traps on for my shootin stick (just like dem sticks u see 'em use on da TV.)

Me an my lil' brother went out der right before dark where I seen da coyote first and played da tape.... nuthin happened. So we humped it across da field and tried another location. Da tape wasn't on 10 seconds when dis bobcat came in runnin..... he needed killin too. lol





I can see myself gettin into this...... soon as I get off work I'm goin' after dem coyotes! Anybody got da itch to sell a good coyote/bobcat sniper gun.... da .25-06 was a little over kill. Blew da whole other side off da cat. lol

Stumpy, Ill PM you when we start cutting milo and corn. Them damn coyotes come within 50 yards of the combines. We need to thin out the pack of hogs we got in one piece of property, they just run out in front of the combine and are too stupid to get out of the way. We killed 2 hogs and 4 coyotes cutting wheat this spring. I shot one off the tractor tire with a .300 mag

What doves?????? I don't think we get doves until the season closes every year. We are full of them right now for some reason, but come september they will all be gone. The dogs and hogs never leave though.

Stumpy, i hope you can handle a little dust when we cutting that milo.

Also once we start cutting beans, it should be rabbit season. All i have to say is .

i bet. I need to plow up my roping arena but i dont think the plow will even dig it without 500 extra pounds put on it. I can tellyou that old milo dust will have you lookin like a "moon cricket" after about 2 minutes of it. Dont worry though, Ill keep the beer cold in the cab.

We actually got a half an inch on sunday but it dried up before it quit raining. my poor cows aint got nothing to eat.

Slam I may need to consult with ya one day bout dat cattle stuff. I'm no cowboy but de business / tax end may make our huntin' property more viable!

i rolled another coyote last night off my steps. Damn thing was trying to get to my calves. The old .300 mag dropped him at 75 yards, blew the sumbit&* to pulp.

Stumpy and Benelli, ill let a few grow for yall. Timing aint right to get them right now though. Have another place in Gueydan that has some bobcats and coyotes on it. We gonna wait until the calves hit the ground then go after them.

While Stumpy and Benelli are shooting preditors, can I slip in there and shoot one of those 300# calves.
