Not to be an azz but the only thing that can tell you what choke to use in your gun with your choice of load is a patterning board. Two guns of the same make shooting the same shell through the same choke will not necessarily pattern the same. |

I simply use the factory IC and don't have any problems! Only thing I use a fancy choke for is turkey huntin! |

Kicks Hi Flyer and Haydels Decoying. Got 'em both from a buddy that quit hunting. I can tell a difference in the Kicks in regards to distance. I checked the pattern differences compared to factory choke (Remington) and there is definitely a difference, for the better. Super duper choke or factory, I still can't hit sheet. ![]() |

Can't beat the patternmaster. SIGNIFICANTLY less cripples and great knock down power on long shots. |

I have been using the Kick's High Flyer. I did a lot of pattern work on the board with all sorts of different shells and shot sizes this spring. The best pattern I found came from Kent fast Steel 3 inch in a #4. And boy am I glad, because out of a 3 1/2 inch in my 870 supermag the recoil was about all I could stand. I have about 85% of the pattern at 40 yards with the 3 inch #4. In theory, I should be dropping ducks like rain come November. |

Ya'll must shoot at a lot of far away birds with all them fancy choke tubes. I still got my Remmington 870 Wingmaster and find that the Remmington 2 3/4 #4's work for just about all decoying ducks. I'm pretty sure the choke I got in there is the standard modified tube. Hell it's in there so dam good I don't think I could change it if I wanted to. |
