 Let's talk bowfishing reels..Been through the Zebco stuff.. And all the bottle reels which work okay on some instances, but have used the Shakespeare Synergys by the hundreds. Just wondering if anybody has a better reel to use that I have been missing.
Worst thing about the Synergys is the plastic foot, and I heard today that they have quit making them. Acadamy sports usually has them but try are out now and no local fishing suppliers around here carry them including WalMart. _________________ 18x60 WC CUSTOM propelled by a 35GTR (25mph with a slight chop and a 6mph tailwind................

Re: Let's talk bowfishing reels.. Earlier this year I saw a Muzzy reel at an archery shop in Nacogdoches. I wasn't aware that they had come out with one before that. How are they? Couldn't be too bad if its anything like their points.

Re: Let's talk bowfishing reels.. man ive been asking the same question too. the newer chinese zebcos are crap. i have about three of the made in the usa ones and they are still solid reels esp the older 888. I like using the small rod to guide the fish around the lights on the boat but i am considering an ams on the next purchase. not to jack ur thread but what the big difference between regular and the pro model?
