 Re: My Kansas Elk
Theres a small herd here on Ft Riley. They give about 10 bull tags a year. I shot him with my muzzle loader. KS (for some dumb reason) wont let you carry a ML and a bow at the same time. I shot him at 60 yards so I woulda liked to had my bow. I have killed them with a bow before though. Here a Co Elk I shot a couple of years ago

 Re: My Kansas Elk
Great Job! Maxwell has elk and buffalo. The buffalo are sold off a few at a time. The elk sometimes get out. Several years ago we had one stroll across our field. Never heard where it ended up. My wife had elk taco's this summer at our daughters in Colo. They lease BLM land up against their ranch and the elk are always on their property, so they harvest a cow every year. We just returned from So. Dakota where we circled Custer State Park. There were tons of buffalo there.

 Re: My Kansas Elk
Yea nice bulls for sure. We are headed to Colorado next month hopefully we will at least see some. I was wanting to go during bow season but nobody else in my group can shoot a bow over 30yrds. So I guess ill try for a bow hint next year. Only thing I use a gun on anymore is ducks. It should still be fun.
