There is a late fall run of Silver Salmon That I love to fish. It's strictly catch-and-release but 3 of us caught over 100 in 4 hours.

Had the opportunity to go to Alaska for a 28 day fishin trip a few years back. We fished the kenai, the Russian river, did a little combat fishin at the willow, bt for sure our best was the jet boat ride up clear creek. I think there's one like that on the wall in a Raising Cane's down here lol, only the mouth is more of a greenish color I think..

If it has a green head it's probably a Red Salmon. These fish haven't spawned yet which accounts for the catch and release.
After they spawn the Bears and Ravens have to be real hungry to eat one. They get nasty quick.

Stu I think about you every week when I watch the Yukon Men. Do you live on a river like the guys in Tanana? I am hoping to find a spot on a boat in Bristol Bay this coming fishing season. I have spoke to a guy I buy my gill net material from in Seattle. He said he would find a net boat for me to work on. Keep the pics coming. Randy
