Looking at getting a Kimber Custom CDP II. Anyone know where the cheapest place to get one is? I know they are pretty expensive, but wanted to try and find the best deal possible. |

gun broker definatly, but my gpaw has a kimber 45 the tactical one, and out the box its a tac driver, outshoots all the colt gold cups I have ever shot and it can keep its own with some of the build 1911 45's if you can find someone that you know well with a ffl they can give it to you at cost which usually is 100-150 bucks in my expirence for a gun worth around 1k |

The Gander here will honor other dealers prices. I have not bought any guns from there but my buddies have and all said they took a price in or phone number to a dealer and GM matched it. If this is handy for you. I have bought guns off Gunbroker as mentioned and had nothing but good deals. Randy |

While shopping, don't turn down an Eclipse. they are identicle to CDPII excpet for frame and slide material, grips and melted edges. I wanted a CDP but did not find one on the particular "urge" day and settled for the Eclipse. Don't regret it. CDP has aluminum frame and stainless slide. Eclipse has stainless frame and stainless slide. Less than 8 OZ difference weight depending on which model-Pro, Ultra, Compact. Due to different materlal, finish is different. Plus they are a hundred or so less. If you buy one of the smaller ones Pro or Ulta, the slight extra weight on the Eclipse helps. Put a Crimson Trace laser on it, too, |

By the way, my son was in town last weekend from the FBI and he and I went shooting. He fell in love with it and said it was a hell of a lot better than the Glock 22 the FBI furnishes. He wants one and is getting permission to carry it. FBI armorers have to have gun and inspect, shoot and approve it if he carries a different gun than issue. |
