 Bowfishing trolling motor
Looking at getting a new troller. Would like to stay with 12v but could do 24v . What's the best, quiet, motor for the money. Also is hand controlled or foot controlled preferred

I would use my mm if I wanted to scare the fish

 Re: Bowfishing trolling motor
I use a 12v 55 digital motorguide on a 17x54 and it'll last all night, it's fast enough to bowfish, any stronger and your making noise.. Hand control because I'm standing and anyone up front can use it easier than trying to find the foot control, plus a foot control would be in the way I'd think.

 Re: Bowfishing trolling motor
I would imagine a prop chopping the water from a TM will make about the same noise to a fish as a MM

 Re: Bowfishing trolling motor
I changed my post. We all know you run two mudmotors and are quite successful with that setup. I have no issues running the mudmotor the way I fish either. People do different things in different areas though. Different species of carp react differently to noise. You ever seen those big light towers those guys use? No noise and no light until they get where the fish are then light it up and shoot. Different strokes for different folks. If the guy wants to run quiet, let him run quiet.

I know how you fish. Your setup is badass for where you're at and would work awesome for my area and the way I fish too.

 Re: Bowfishing trolling motor
Aellis any one would work. If your only shooting GDR and grass carp use that motor you cover 100 times the area and don't have to worry about grass and shallow water

Yea just want both options. Have to use mm in some places but troller is nice when you just wanna hang out by yourselves and shoot some fish.
