I've used an ol man for over 15 years and have 3. Awesome stands - sling seat is what makes the stand. I use my grand multi vision during bowhunts in IL and hunt sun up to sun down in it. Can't do that in many climbers. The multi vision has a rail that you can shoot a rifle off of and reverse it for a foot rest for bows. I'm about 230 but will al my shit on and gear I have to weight 250. These stands are rated for 300#. Check out their new model -the Drone Word on the street is that the new summit viper sd elite is the shit. I want to try one out in a bad way. 16lbs and would be great for bowhunting. |

I have a summit viper and can and have stayed in the tree for 12-13 hours. I added the foot rest, which helps and have accessory bags on the sides. I think the goliath (basically oversized viper) would be a great option for you. |

Buy a summit! I have always used ol man or gorilla. I like them both but bought my first summit this year and best stand ever and company. They stand behind there product 100% and are great people. Bought the new summit viper sd and the paint was cheaping off bad. Called summit and they asked for pictures. Within an hour or less of them receiving pictures received a phone call from them and they apologized for that and within 3 days had a brand new stand on my front door no charge. I couldn't believe the great service. No beating around the bush. I will be a summit customer for now on. |

Lone wolf hand climber..... By far my favorite, light as hell, compact to carry/store and silent; no resonating if you hit it with something. WAY better attachment to tree than anything, sturdy as can be and never any creaking no matter how much you weigh, or where you stand on the platform. Only downside is it does take someone core strength to climb, it's not terrible, but it's no sit and climb. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to treestands. |
