Can anyone recommend an outfitter in Stuttgart? I have a group looking to make a trip up there in mid January for a couple days. Flooded timber preferred but field are ok. I thought we had a couple of Stuttgart guides on here. |

Our group has hunted with them before. Nice guys. They know how to call the ducks and have all the right equipment. They wake up early and work hard for their pay. The times we hunted with them, most of it was on public land. But that's where the ducks were so it was fine with us. Just FYI. |

Public land doesn't bother me. Its a last minute trip. They know the area. I don't have time to research or scout public opportunities up there Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2 |

What I can't figure out is the du reports from that area. Some people killing 32man limited. The rest ain't even seeing ducks. Sounds like guides are hyping the area up or something. I just had some buddies go on a 3day hunt and shot 3 birds . Sounds shitty to me good luck tho |

Randy and Craig will tell you if they have ducks to shoot. We never leave the driveway for the 10 hr drive until we verify with them. |

Here is another good one. cypresscrossingduckclub.com I hunted with these guys before they became a guide service. They work hard at it and have a nice outfit. It is well worth giving Scott a call before you head out. They are killing and have been all year. |

I have talked to a few guys that hunt Stuttgart and they said all water has pushed the ducks out. I don't know where they went b/c they sure as hell aren't down here. They said they aren't even hunting anymore. Don't take my word for the gospel though. |

Spoke to my buddy in Hazen a little while ago and he said the same thing about the water pushing the birds out. |

The reports of birds being pushed out...would these reports have come from people hunting in rice fields? |

No, the main guy I talked to hunts Bayou Meto. He is from Stuttgart but lives in Memphis now and said that was it and he wasn't hunting anymore this year. Asshole is probably just tired of killing Mallards. |
