Check out birdman studios. He/they do many different mount settings. He gets most of his birds from an aviary, so some are in full plume. But you can get an idea of the design you want. |

Got a guy in Venetian Isle named Charlie that's good. His birds cost 175 and come with drift wood. |

My buddy I was hunting with felt the same way. He passed on shooting this bird "oh thats just an ole dog" so I told him to keep his head down. He wasn't too happy with himself when he seen the result. |

If they fly close enough I shoot them. They are ducks too. I hate to discriminate against any duck. I let them sit in in the fridge with water to bleedout a good bit. |

I've had birds done at both Birdman studios and bloomquist( Billie Ollie). For really rare birds I send them to birdman studios. As far as Charlie's work I've seen good and I've seen not so good. I rarely mount birds but when I do I don't want to have a bird that might turn out good. I want it to look damn good and I don't mind paying for it. |

im not sure you would want to do this with such a beautiful duck but hands down coolest mount i have ever saw was a shoveler that was stomped in the mud. hahhaahah.. it was a great conversation peice!!!! |
