Looking to book a Canada trip this coming season, want to shoot ducks and geese and lots of them  Does anyone have a good guide they've used? Also which area is better than any other in Canada

It's Canada... why use a guide? You can kill all you want without one.

OK, I can buy that... good answer. Do you want to field hunt or marsh hunt? Do you want to combine it with bear hunting and fishing?

One of my favorite trips is to hunt ducks in the morning over water, fish for walleyes and pike all day (shore lunches!), and bear hunt in the stand in the evening.

I have spot and stalk bow hunted Canada in Alberta. I don't know if this holds true for all game, but I was required to use a guide because I was considered a "non-resident alien." This may have been a Provincial specific thing for Alberta, I had to get a WIN card, too. Wildlife Identification Number....it was required for all hunters/anglers.

Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone.

Marsh runner,
I have been looking into the same sort of trip. I'll let you know if I get any good references. Please do the same.

We went on a trip with Birdtail Waterfowl last year. Had a good trip. The ducks really didn't cooperate, but the guide can't make them show up. I would go on a trips with them again. They are in Manitoba.

My dad and his crew used to make annual trips to the peace river valley area. They had some outstanding hunts but the outfitter they used sold his license and the new owner was sub par.

Frontline waterfowl.com is someone to check out, an old member used them about the time I was looking into them as well. Like I said Paul, gator point, used another outfitter up that way and had his reasons but I believe he looked into frontline as well.
