 catfish through the ice! A couple friends hammered the catfish today while drinking beer out on the ice. They're bringing a limit over now and we'll be eating them within an hour. I'm stoked.

Re: catfish through the ice! It's been a couple months now since we've had any fresh catfish. All we have had for fresh fish is walleyes and crappies lately.
Actually they're really crappy fishermen... they only fish because they would look weird just standing on the ice and drinking beer.

Re: catfish through the ice! They were awesome. I'm full now.
I'm not complaining about walleyes because I love them, but the change is nice. Its not unusual to catch a catfish through the ice now and then, but they caught "over 30". That was weird.
It was like July in January.
