I have a new 1846 on order from GatorTail and I am entertaining the idea of starting to bowfish. Do you think that boat will be too narrow to fish 2 guys, if I make a custom platform? Is there a rule of thumb when it comes to platform overhanging the sides of the boat?

Also if anyone has any pics of an 1846 decked out for bowfishing, will you please post them.

Thanks

Kinda small bro best thing to do is make you light rails instead of platform.

I had a deck in a 1542 rasied 17" off the floor you can make it and make it long your not going to be able to stand side by side but you can stand one behined the other. And its not a place you want to be drunk either other wise I promise you will have a case of the wet ass before the end of the night.

I had a 12" raised deck on a 1546express and it was great 2man rig. With 3 you had 2 be careful and 1 person in tha back stayin 2 tha middle, it was easier th do 4 than 3 just because it was even but tgere was not much freeboard then. We are not big tho average 150lb. Next rig i build will have a flush deck

if you like either bowhunting or fishing you will love bowfishing. lol thats an obivious. its not expensive as long as you dont forget to set your reel. if not there goes a $20 arrow once you release and the line snaps.

I love to bow hunt and fish. I think I'll enjoy it. I will post pics once I start to rig the boat.
