I dont know that much about them. I do know you can wire them up and they come on. They are very bright. I have 6 on my bowfishing set up. Way more light than you should need. I dont know waht a cap is. They are in boxes that were mounted in a industrial bldg. |

The wattage should be labeled on the bulb somewhere. As far as whether or not they have caps, open one up and take a pic of the guts (under the reflector). Model without caps should have two pieces inside (ballast and ignitor), model with caps will have 3 (ballast, ignitor, and cap). Caps make them much more efficient. |

Ok I opened them up. They do have Caps. Now what are they worth? I have 27 of these. I need to get rid of them. They are taking up too much room in my garage. The bulbs are 175 watt. |

You sure they're HPS, not MH? I'm having a hard time finding 175w hps lights on any of the sites I use. Like everyone else says, post pics.. Without seeing them, I'd say 30ish shipped maybe? Seems like kind of an odd ball size. Have no idea if they'd need to be modified, etc. 150w econolights, new with caps are $53 and require little to no modifications. |

E-conolights are hard to beat. Thats what I have for the money you cant go wrong. If I was rigging up garage lights I would still use them cause they are badass. |

They came out of an Industrial waste water treatment plant. They are High Pressure Sodium Lights. The bulbs are around $42 each alone. They are bright enough to use just 4. I had them on My old boat and they were great. I had 6 and wow it seemed like daytime. |
