Got a project boat that's going to be my fishing/bow fishing rig. Its going to be a while before I can get it finished but I'm trying to get some info on a motor. It has a 115 on it now but its a POS that doesn't run and I don't want to jack with old crap. Does anyone have any experience with mercure 150 four strokes? Its going on a 17x58 flat that is .125" aluminum. 6 ft fishing deck and 2 ft rear deck. Any idea on what kind of speeds I may be able to get with this combo? My dad said a 90 would work well but I want to have enough ass to step a load well and get there quick. I haven't ruled out a 90 or 115 but I want all the HP I can get. Thanks |

Why not a 2 stroke, more power, less weight. |

The 150 sho is coming out some time this year, probably soon. The new 4 strokes are almost as light as a 2 stroke. |

I think my 150 vmax weighs 415 dry.. It's a 2 stroke. I'd go 4 stroke and if the 150 vmax is anything like the 250 its a great motor |
