My son had his first high school football scrimmage last night so we are cutting our annual camping trip to the Mississippi River a little short. We have been making this trip for about 4 years now. We camp out on an island in the middle of the river. After making camp we will set out some trot lines, turtle hooks, go frogging and do a bit of fishing.

Always a nice time with my boy and it even looks like the weather will be nice. Although it is supposed to get down to 49 degrees tonight! Unbelievable for August!
