Post Hidgon Splashing flasher 2 review
Hidgon Splashing flasher 2 review.
This decoy is supposed to throw water up onto its winds and spin the water around creating motion and ripples.
Taking it out of the box it looked to be reasonably good quality and the 2 pieces of the body and floater went together easily.
The battery fitted well in the submersible box and clicked shit positivity.
On advantage of the MK2 version is the battery box can be hung under the decoy rather than having to touch the bottom.
With a 2 on 4 off 2 on 10 off pattern it didn't look unnatural.
On opening morning we set the Flasher out on the down wind side of the decoy spread, expecting the ducks to drift over it and land in the hole made in the spread.

The first birds of the day set the theme of the day. They came in an hovered above it trying to land beside the decoy. This happened again and again until we moved it upwind of the spread, for fear of shooting the decoy.
This decoy made our days a suggest. Sunday the birds still loved it, we were sure they would be spinning wing shy and didn't like the mojo but cupped straight into the Hidgon.

The battery went 11 hours solid and another 3 on Sunday without a charge.

2 Suggestions were a remote but the battery did very well without it
and possibly flocking it to stop the shine, but both of these made no difference.

Worth every cent.. loved it

The flasher splasher is a great motion decoy. Probably my #2 favorite. The only bad thing about them is the spray nozzle under the wings will freeze up fairly easily.

I love mine. I have the splasher and the hardwired 3 pulsators. Kind of a pain to set up all the wiring but man does it make your spread look good!

The spread the splasher was in had a spinning wing and 2 shaking butts, but the ducks just wanted to be beside the hidgon
