Looking to get my 9 yr old a new 20ga semi auto for the upcoming season and was looking for recommendations. Been looking at the weatherby SA-08 youth model. Anyone have any feedback on this particular gun? |

benelli makes a "compact" m2 that you can change the stock out on later when he needs a bigger gun. They make it in a 12 ga and 20 ga i believe. The downside is its around $1300 |

Just make sure it has some wieght to it. Im not a fan of gettin "youth guns". A freind of mines bought one for his son, it had an 18'' barrel and was light. Well even in 20g, it kicked pretty good, and was extremely loud!!! Also, early in the morning would shoot a huge ball of fire out the barrel!!! His son shot it a couple times then asked to shoot my sons 20g auto. Which is full size...i still have to help him shoot it, but i dont want a young kid swinging a gun on his own around me anyway. |
