I am wondering if the ammo shortage is over and the over buying has reached its peak and going down. Here is what I am seeing. Natchez Shooters Supply sells bulk ammo like 1000 and 2000 rounds but also smaller quantities. It has been out of stock since last October on 5.56 62 grain. They will get it and be out of it when I click on the link in an hour. And the price shot up to like 75 -95 cents per round. I was paying around 30 cents at one time. Last time I bought 2000 rounds it was 39 cents last fall before all the shit happened.

Now it is in stock and in stock for at least 4 or 5 days. And the price is going down to around 66 cents a round. I hope they go back down to the 30 cent days. Maybe all these people that over bought with high prices will try to sell to get money back and flood the market then the price will come down even more.

I really only watch the price of 5.56 closely because I buy a lot more rounds, is this happening at other shooter supply places and for different calibers?

How about shotgun ammo for you duck hunters? How easy is it to get this year for teal season and price?

It's definitely getting easier to find ammo online. Even my local Walmart had some .40 sitting in the case for a few days.

I bought most my stuff from Cabelas.
I've passed up a lot of .22 online at .04-.06 a round.

I think it's getting a little better. Even schmucks like cheaper than dirt are dropping their prices to more reasonable levels.

There still seems to be some supply issues with primers though.

Supply and demand, I understand that situation. I know that some places had to get more people trained and it was costing them more to handle the overflow. And if they can go up and get it, I say go for it. But we also can buy where we want. And if it pisses anyone off that a supplier went up on their prices---we can choose not to buy there. Personally, I understand they went up, cause we wanted so bad. I barely bought anything Since Nov except for a .380 auto. I have been waiting on the frenzy to end, so it did not affect me much.

I have bought many things from Cheaper than Dirt, but never ammo, is that what they went up on? So did so many other places too. What did they do specifically? Just go up on ammo?

I know for one that as soon as all the ammo hoarding started try were the jest ones to up the price on p-mags to $59.95. Then it just went downhill from there with them.

i got all my ammo from cheaper than dirt last year before all the prices went to hell..they seem to be good to deal with.
