Post Hogue Overmold shotgun stocks
I managed to pick up a Remington 870 Express SuperMag today at a garage sale - $65... :o BUT -

The butt stock is broken on it, so I was looking for a replacement and came across the Hogue Overmolds for around $60, forearm and butt stock as a kit.

Does anyone have any experience with them, as for a pump-gun? I have the NRA Mini 14 with the Hogue Overmold, and other than the material seems to act like a dust magnet, it's a pretty good feel. I like the Hogue products - most of my hand-bangers have Hogue grips, as well as my AR - just not sure what it would be like on the shotgun...

I have them on an 870. When I pick it up the forend grip is nice. Feels like its glued to your hand even when your palm is sweaty. The stock is the same way but unless they changed them up the overmold is just where your hand goes the rest of the stock is just like any other plastic stock. I like them. The forend is shorter than a typical forend and allowed me to put a side saddle shell holder on with no modifications.

That's what I thought to and the pictures are deceiving but it's not bad. Like you said earlier the grips are little dust magnets and with the rest of the stock being just synthetic it makes it tuff and easy to keep clean.

Like I said I like them and if I had it to do again I'd buy them
