went out sun and mon...sun we baited my 6 crab traps and i got there 1st thing mon morning cause some fukin jackhole thief has been emptyin' my traps after i bait them . the thing that gets me is y do these jackholes not atleast close the door on the trap to atleast let u catch a few too???every trap i picked up was empty with the doors unhooked!!! potna...let me tell yall, if i catch the no good sum-biatch whos doing this...they r gonna have a few extra holes in their boat ! all im tryin 2 do is take my 8yr old fishin and spend some time with him and these no good m/fas' gonna rape my shit ?
what kinda people do this? down here u get shot 4 dat shit. one more time and im gonna set up camp close to my traps and catch them bastards. i wont kill any1, but 3-4 holes from a 270 on the hull might persuade them to do otherwisw when they come across some1 elses traps...or maybe some 7/0 hooks in the pull rope might do it too . what the hells goin on with fishermen these days? no1 seems to respect the other. slow down when u see some1 fishing and dont take whats not urs...damn is that too much to ask? the fisherman we see around us are the same types of outdoor people we are, no different from cousins...we are the ones who would survive if the grocery stores closed down tomorrow...its just common courtesy thats needed...oh, and 4 all these young pissants drivin daddys boat to not go out anymore

lakr fausse point is probly the worst place for people running ur crab traps/ juglines and trout lines.

do what i do, tie large hooks onto the float and about every 3 or 4 inches down the rope for about 4 or 5 feet.

they'll only run 1 or 2 then have to remove a impaled hook.


the fact that i can't run them down wif my prodrive rig has saves many lives. u wouldn't beleive the people i've caught trying to steal fish off my lines. there's a old man who runs lines every day and waves and smiles and say's hello, but if he thinks u ain't there he's gonna steal u blind.

the fine for running sumone elses traps i've been told is pretty big, but out gw's over here are too worried about a man drinking a beer in a boat than to ever waste their time enforcing a game law.

If they would change the law from a fine to being able to shoot the mofo, you wouldn't ever have anything stolen.

At the Fun Run I left Basinhunters Camp at 11pm Sat night and upon reachin Russo's landing and before I could tie up the boat I had a police cruiser come flying up from out the parking lot up to the boat ramp, he approach us and asked if he could search the boat. I didn't have anything to drink or to hide so I said knock youself out. I have 6 storage compartments in my boat and he went through each and everyone taking everthing out then putting everthing back. He pulled out 2 bottles of brown water that were in the bow that I had no idea were there! thats when I started to sweat! BUT, he put them back without a second look, closed the hatch and move on to the next one. Once finished he thanked me and complemented my boat. A bit confused I asked him what he was looking for and he said Crabs! LOL

I think if theys leavin your trap doors open then they are trying to say to you to put your traps in another area this one is mine or sometin like dat... I can't stand people that think they can take over an area.

Hang some bullets in every trap. Right were they have to open it. It will make them think a bit.

Yeh that sucks. Had some azzhat run my wire nets last year. Instead of untying them to get the fish out they cut the nets open. Might try long lines for the crabs instead of traps. Would be more fun for the kids to dip them up anyway. Goona try it on flat lake next time I'm down that way.

last staw...dey emptied em and left em unhooked again so i put 4-7/0 hooks on da last 6 foot of line. this is how this works:
they lookin all around while they pullin up ur traps b/c they r stealin, so they never pay attention to the line cause they lookin all round 4 some1 to drive through...and wham! a 7/0 hook in between ur index finger and thumb in that thick skin between the two! ...u aint pullin that out! im gonna lose a trap from them havin 2 cut em, but i bet they wont take any1's sh!t ever again!

put a 150 grain 270 core lok through their engine and i guarentee they wont mess with your shit no more

Ben havin a lot of thefts of shrimp, nets and crabs down da bayou. Also please lock up you trucks and cars. If dey open, some piece o' sh@*t is goin in it. We gots to look out for each other when we can.Get a description, plate or chase the mother f*cker off !
