Got out for 3 days of crazy ass bow hunting on my new uncle J 1854 with my 35 GTR. Hunted public land in central Florida. four guys and 5 good opportunities.

Must have hit every single stump both with the motor and the hull. Beet the crap out of my gtr. Encountered sand and 40 plus stump strikes forward reverse you name it I hit it. To my surprise no damage. One hell of a motor and boat combo. Scared to look at my 3/16 bottom. Will update once I take a look.

Now to the hunt.

My Nephew was waiting on a massive record 8 pointer at 36 yards. the deer was bedded for 17 minutes. The wind shifted deer got up an ran. lost opportunity.

I missed a 6 pointer at 30 yards. Eating crap looking at my gps on my tree stand planning for the next days feed time. The buck appeared 20 yards in the swamp directly behind me. I was sitting down. By the time I got my act together he was behind the palmettos and moving down a trail. Picked up my range finder and tried to estimate a nearby stump. I was shaking so bad that I could not find the stump. In panic mode the deer started walking towards trail in the direction of the stump. I must have put all my pins on that sucker. (Did not pick a pin). Missed the hell out of him

Then he stops at 50 yards for about 2 minutes trying to figure out what happened. I had a perfect shot at the entire body except that I could not see the head. So I passed.

Our other 2 hunters shot a doe and a 4 point buck and missed another nice buck.

Everybody in that place including the game wardens (All 4 of them) freaked out over the uncle J boat and GTR combo
