Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
I used a set of neoprene wader pants for years from cabelas. Practically lived in them when away hunting and if the crotch hadn't blown out I still would be using them regularly. They only have 2 downfalls, the water runs off your coat and your pants and you get a cold back quicker. I still use mine fishing in summer and if I wasn't so cheap id get a new set.

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
I own a pair of those for early season. Nice and light and the boot is very comfortable for walking around. We hunt some nasty stuff and they have held up quite wall. I would recommend them to anyone. If I remember right the boot sizes run on the small size so order one size bigger.

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
Rod, I got a pair of cabelas breathable convertibles last year. Love them. They fold down like the pants & have a belt but can be pulled up if you are having to hunt deeper. I used them until probably late December & still used them in January if hunting shallow. I won't be w/o these again.

I used the neoprene wader pants for couple years, busted a hole in them last year And have another pair on order, just like wearing pants and you can maneuver so much easier and your right u can layer up underneath them if need be

They are great till ya get hung up and go down on your butt. Can ya say wet behind! Wish I still had that video! Also read the reviews on those, almost bought a pair of the regular waders last year but they where having problems with the boots leaking.

What's the point? You can't get in the water with em. Just buy Camo pants

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
I hunt some knee deep mud with logs and stumps with mine and have been stuck like chuck. The boots are way more flexible so you can point your foot more and pull it out. I have never been stuck enough to have to ditch my waders, but have been close.

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
I am only 5'7" an use the cabelas supermag er whatever their called in regular size and they work good. Damn cold up here so the 1600 gram thinsulate comes in handy. Otherwise if its at all warm I'll set deeks and they take em off and hunt in only my wader pants I wear under em.

I used too when i hunted rice fields.....they work well untill you step in a hole along the ditch and your wet but they work great if you avoid that.

I wear the breathables all year. Even January in Kansas. A few good pairs of layering pants and you are good to go.

I went try them on yesterday, very comfortable! I think its ridiculous though that theyre 269 for camo and 179 for tan. I think tan will work just fine lol

i have flat narrow feet and its hard to find rubber boots that fit correctly. so technically non lace ups are a pain in the feet. lol

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
Some of those new waders have that ankle lok support to where when ur foot slips in the boot it real narrow around ur ankle to where ur foot kind of locks in there too I'm flat footed and don't have a problem but I know I'm to fat to bend over and tie my shoes lmao ( true statement )

Re: any one hunt in wader pants?
best pants ive found sofar for teal season are scrubs.. even like em better in waders too.. i sweat more with neoprene against my skin, so scrubs are just enough. now if i could only find em in mossy oak blades or duck blind!!
