Ours opens on sunday. I don't get too excited for early goose due to the heat and skeeters. Now duck season starts the 21st of sept. that gets me excited.

Sunday's forecast is 84 and partly cloudy, none of our fields have been cut either. Its looking like a day to drink beer around the pond. Unless shit gets cut, then we will do some killing!

We will just end up jump shooting them on the flowages around 10 after everyone gives up and heads in. We can do well if the shooters can shoot. I'm gonna bring the GoPro this year and give it a whirl.

I never go either but this year we got draw for a lott hunt on lake mattamuskeet . We scouted it last week and saw a few hundred on the lake . It going to be hot around 90

Our early goose season doesn't open till the 21st of September in Arkansas. So far where I'll be going, my buddy that owns the property said that there's only about a dozen on the farm right now.

I'll be out in wapun. Buddys family owns a farm that butts up against the refuge on horicon. Ill be hunting in bare feet and shorts. It usually doesn't get good till the last weekend but we will get a few. No fields cut yet

There's a small pond and the river that dump into the refuge on the property with it hot hopefully the big stinky geese will be goin for water early its always hit or miss there. Sometimes a 3 man limit can be had in an hour or we could watch flock after flock just pass over goin south to the refuge. I haven't heard much good news as far as numbers in the area

Eight birds this am.... Didn't realize how big the field was at first and they couldn't see our dekes in the fog. Set out a scarecrow in the other end and they started working us.

Same here, we didn't want to carry all the decoys up to the top hay field so we just sat in our pit blind and at sandwiches and waited for the few that did come. One band I got was 9 years old, I'm guessing that's an old bird?
