So Kent's are now the best. I thought remington sportsmans were the best.

I bought 4 boxes of the kent tealsteal 3" #5 today at academy for 10.99 a box to try. I also bought a case of my go to 3" #3 estates for 11.99 a box. They do me well for the price.

The only reason I shoot Kent's is because there the only ones(other than black cloud) that has 1 3/8 #4. I've been shooting them for about 3 years and they are by far the cleanest burning shells I've ever shot. I clean my gun about twice a season.

Exactly that's a popular load. ..you just have to shop around. Im willing to bet that each different brand makes damn near every different load scenario. You just have to find the store that sell what u want.

I know Winchester and Federal do. Been shooting the Winchesters for years. Even Academy normally has them when they get their big shipment in.

I've been trying to decide what to shoot this year, and I'm having trouble deciding. This'll be the first time I've bought a whole case before the season, and that just seems like a huge commitment to me... :( The 1-3/8 oz. #4 sounds like a good load, but I seemed to hit them pretty good with #3's last year. I may sound like a Jew, but if I know me, I'm not gonna want to go out and buy another case of shells until the first one's almost done... Maybe I should just say fuck it and buy a case of lead!

I have some heavy metal left and I'm gonna start with that. I'm wanting to experiment with a few aftermarket chokes tho

I shot them all, there's two that I find shot the best, Rio's #3 1 -3/8 and spectra shot that's the coated shot steel..You can buy what ever color you want, and when you clean the duck you can tell that you shot it.

IMO the Kents are tough to beat as far as bang for your buck. I've been shooting fasteel for about 3 seasons now with no issues at all, and I'm gonna keep on slingin em. Plus I can't see spending 250+ a case for shells. Maybe if I only got to hunt 2 days a week or something and didn't burn through a bunch of shells in a season.

Kent for hunts where ducks and geese are together and I know it's cheesy but I love shooting BlindSides on all goose hunts. They absolutely crush them.

It's better to go into season with more than less. It's hard to find what I shoot late

Post subject:  Re: Brown truck delivery

Sounds like you fuckers need to shoot some skeet instead of bitching about what shells you shoot better. Haha

AIf you ain't gonna pattern your gun to confirm, don't buy a case. Plain and simple. You'd be surprised how diff guns/loads pattern.

I think 1.4 shells per bird is a little conservative. Some folks do shoot other types of fowl as well...coots, snipe, gallinule, merganzers, geese...

Like I said we hunt 3-5 people. Where their to shoot 30 birds if we have 5 people in the blind. If you can't shoot that's your problem :)
