Haha, I was wondering if someone was gonna ask. My buddy got one of those waterproof phones and decided to demonstrate its durability. He tossed it in the river and ended up lookin for it for about an hour. He had to crawl around on his hands and knees to find it while we gave him shit the whole time.

Killed a snow in some green timber last year. Tree topped him!!

That's awesome! That snow goose can be damn good eating too. I love those hunts where you bag something unexpected. My buddy shot a white winged scoter 2 years ago on the Illinois river and got it mounted.

Yep I cooked up some snow goose breast this spring with fried morels. Some of the most tender waterbird I've ever eaten.

nothing like a good surprise bird, I think specks, and snow geese are good eating. I hadn't tried a sand hill , but would like to try. seen a bunch in fields in northern Colorado, yesterday coming back from elk hunting. can't wait to eat that elk!

Strange thing happening around me with the sea ducks. I used to layout shoot lake Erie a lot and we used to never see sea ducks. Than the zebra mussels came. Now there are a good amount. Scoters,brants and even a couple eiders. It is amazing how flight patterns will change due to a changing ecosystem. I wish they tasted like a teal though.

I hunt a bunch of deferent states your so right in that. Ducks are so deferent. Here's one more band I killed last year I killed 4 bands last year 3 in VA and one in la.

Never got into the green good last year, but here is a limit of gray from last year.

I think the banding north of me has dramatically declined. In 1993 out of 350 birds we got 16 bands. Since 1993 I have probably got 10 bands.
