What calls are you running this yr? Same old calls or did you change it up? I bought a gk call girl that will be on the lanyard. After running it a while its a keeper. I have an icu2 that should be here in a few days that will be paired with it.

I guess I am a DC. I have had a beard since 1990 and have worn camo face paint longer than that.

As to what calls are on my lanyard, the same ones I have been using for most of my life. I did splurge and buy my first "fancy" call this year, Zink NBG. After blowing it a few times I can't see why I would ever spend that much on a call again (nothing against the call but the $130 just can't be justified as it doesn't sound any better than the $5 call I bought in 1985). Course I am just an onery old duck hunter who doesn't really give a shit as long as the birds show up.

GK Call girl tuned as a double reed, cheap poly carbon echo, and a GK comp killer for geese. First year in a long time I didn't buy a couple dr85s. Just fed up with the ass smell I guess! This year I did something new, dug through the box-o-shit calls and had them tuned by a friend so they were new to me all over again!

Same calls that I've been using for the past 15 years, if they killed ducks then, they'll kill them now. Find out where the ducks "want" to be and you don't need a single one

XLT & Short Barrel.

Cody, who makes that lanyard?

Post subject:  Re: This season's lanyard

Owen, the lanyard is a Call Hauler. A guy named Bart from Michigan makes them. My lanyard is their Type 3 that I cut two drops off of. I've had it a long time and like it a lot.

Forgot to mention, they have a website. If you google call hauler it will come up, just don't click on the heavy hauler web page.

might be slightly off topic, but has anybody used a coco timber hawg? got a acrylic, but for sine reason I'm getting mallards to respond better to wood calls. thinking about getting one. wonder if ducks get used to the crisper sound of acrylic
