I am thinking of buying a choke this duck season for my 12 gauge SBE. I shoot no2 shot in 3 inch. Any suggestions on what kind to get? |

I shoot the Briley LM as well. When using steel shot it's in between a mod and a full on constriction. Get the forcing cone lenthened, it will pattern even better... |

Patternmaster Code Black. One choke that does it all from decoy shooting to 50 yards. |

It really depends on the gun-choke-load combination (it's actually shocking how different patterns you can get when changint one of those factors). I use Briley extended chokes: IC when birds are decoying well with #4 or #3 shot, LM when they're a little further out or hunting divers (#3 and sometimes #2 shot). Then I use Mod for geese (BB). |

Get a beretta a400 and kicks high flyer mod and full and never look back.... I did pick up a used pattern master code black goose for 25 bucks but I haven't patterned it yet....i don't know if it's blown out...When I got it shot cup plastic was melted in the ports. My buddy had shot 5 cases or more through it shooting skeet..... can a choke get "blown out"? sent from the former Republic of Texas. |

Briley, Kicks, Patternmaster are all good chokes. Keep in mind, what works well in one gun may not be worth crap in another, and choose a choke designed for how you intend to use it. Meaning don't buy an extra full choke (Patternmaster Code Black) if most of your shooting is at birds inside of 20yds. |

My preference is to shoot at them at about 10 yards with factory IC and #4. Obviously those flippin birds don't always know try supposed to cooperate. I leave a wad wizard in my gun and shoot #4 at ducks and BB for geese. |
