That would be devastating. The reason I don't goose hunt is we are only allowed 3. What is the point in all the preparation for 10 minutes of hunting for 3 birds

It sucks....but it will weed out the topwaters better than anything else, lol.

Good and bad on that. Some good leases will open up if that happens and the duck dynasty people will go back to whatever they were doing before

Im gonna laugh when this happens and the ducks still don't make it South. Ducks won't leave a club with food and open water. After ice up this year we watched 100's of thousands leave ONE DUCK CLUB in and out every day even well after season closed. A shorter season would just mean they gonna hang out and not get shot at.

We held more birds where I hunt than I've seen in awhile, you just don't find them 1/4 mile from the boat ramp anymore.

But, I say have a 30-3 season for a couple years and we will have several long run benefits IMO

Just like over here in florida . We have thousands of Bluebills over here right now and Ringers . We could only take 2 blues this year alone . The reports this year also said that breeding is still way above avg for pretty much all breeds of ducks . With that said , just because not as many have been harvest they are going too cut out limit . I could be mistaken , but I think an article in either Ducks or Delta waterfowl Mag said that the number of duck hunters have decline . I'm sure that could have some bearing .

Lower the amount of poodoo limits and you will cut the south east Louisiana hunters down by half.

Might not be bad. Trim out the soft and the new DC crowd. I run the river everyday and only see a few birds during the season using the river. Right now the river is covered with ducks. Heck yesterday a big flock of snow geese lifted up and flew over and I got pooped on.

I'm like you Netman it will for sure weed out the DC wanta be's and the not so hardcore duck hunters. If they push it down to a 3 duck limit just bring more people. If it wasn't as crowded it would sure be a lot easier to work birds with out other ass hats blowing loud ass higballs at them and sky busting ducks that you are working. Might not be a bad thins after all.

Y'all think the DC's kill more than 3 birds a person anyways?!

I would be all in for a spaced out, 30 day season with lots of breaks.

When teal was 4 a day I'd still be out every day and that's only a 15 day season. Either way I'm gonna be gettin after it, bring it on! Lol

I like how you are thinking owen Space out the dates through out late Dec, Jan, and maybe a week or two into Feb. IMO they can have Nov the ducks don't seem to get really thick in my area until the tale end of Nov anyways. I'm like Brickgw if it's open I'm going don't matter what they change the limits or the dates to.

this is history repeating itself - - - it will purge the sport just like it did in the 80's.

It would suck to have the season shortened but the bag limit I can deal with. Locally we are lucky to kill a few birds per day. It would suck to take hunt trips though and only be able to kill a few.

It wouldn't stop me though... But I sure would appreciate something purging the Jr Commanders from the sport.

I started duck hunting when it was threes ducks and the mandate for steel shot was put in. Going back to three isn't going to stop me either.

My vote would be 4 ducks and 60 days

My vote is most people hardly ever limited out this year anyway, so why change it if they're not even comin down here in the first place!

Might end up and have a better quality hunt at 3/30 due to less ppl and fewer idiots. If they do it ill be making a few out of state hunts to extend my killing time though.

Our duck populations are fine...get your friends at DU to start a forced duck migration, or get some of your money back.

Our biggest problem here to me is people running mudmotors all day and pushing the birds out to open water.
