 Re: Extra Magnum Decoy
I use 32" blacks and 34" divers. My dad is a pattern maker and made the molds. The hard part is coming up with the Urathane. The trick is to insert wood in the head mold before pouring to sturdy the bill up. I burlap them and lightly spray paint so decoy does not shine

 Re: Extra Magnum Decoy
Why not just repaint a goose decoy. Seems like alot of trouble to reach the same effect. But hey if it works keep it up.

 Re: Extra Magnum Decoy
I have to have good riding decoys for bigger waves. My bluebills have a 2x4 under them with a 2lb strip of lead. The foam decoys they sell are junk. They use foam pellets so when you apply contact cement to bond the burlap, the contact cement eats the up bad. 2 part Urathane stands up to the cement.
