What is your #1 go to single reed call for the marsh? I'm wanting to buy a premium call that can do it all. It's hard to drop good money on a call when there aren't many places to try them out at. Anybody know of a store in SE LA that will let you try samples? |

Cabelas, Bowie outfitters, bass pro shops... I blow a double reed, but since you're looking single reed, check out an RNT daisy cutter...I liked it in the marsh, pretty versatile can be loud or get down low. I can't speak for the diablos but I hear they're nice too. |

I got the RNT DC Timber Hawg for Christmas....maybe it needs tuning or something...I think it did come from BPS or Cabela's...one of them, not sure. I wanted the Daisy Cutter. Read a lot of good things about it. It seems to need a lot of wind and a lot of back pressure to get it to sound half way decent. Thinking about sending it to RNT and let them give it a look. |

I went with a couple custom calls and really like them, but it boils down to what blows the best. It's kinda like finding a new girlfriend now that I think about it. |

Check out the Elite calls from Brad Allen. I have both the Freak and the Cache. Used them after Christmas and they worked very well. Buddy at work just got the freak and he agrees it works great for him. http://elitecalls.net/ |
