Did you know that Mallards are so thick in the reserve at Dave Donaldson WMA in Arkansas that to keep at least some from imprinting there to end their natural migration to Louisiana, the WLF bids hunts along the levee of the reserve on the last weekend of the season to disturb the thick mass of now almost domesticated and well fed mallards? You know, just a gesture to Louisiana to get a few birds moving south. This is what the hell is happening to our formerly Louisiana mallards.

Dean...if you can't beat them, join them.

Seen several hundred mallards in the feild next to my house here in Iowa. Guess they must be part of Iowa's conspiracy to short stop mallards before they get to Arkansas.

I have literally watched 3000 mallards pile into a 40 acre corn field in a roost. It is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen

So basically the ducks are North of where you're at so you're saying field hunting and WMA's should be outlawed? Am I understanding this right?

We've killed the piss outta mallards in Louisiana this year Dean, they will come down every year like they have for thousands before.

About half of them had already got up before I could get to my phone.

So we should quit hunting them in feilds up north and that will make them fly farther south?
