Not overly productive. .. 2 hunts, 2 shots fired, 2 dead Ring neck hens....over 2 days. We scouted over 50 miles and only saw a total of about 200 birds. Heading to okeechobee Monday, hope to see more than we did this week. Where's all the birds at!? |

Okeechobee had been on fire, then last Saturday things changed a lot- Birds seemed to be paired up, and scared to death. The have been hunted every morning, and every afternoon...HARD- Worst season on the lake in a long time, which is crazy considering how bad the weather has been up north. One would think that the birds would have no choice but to be here... |

Don't want to hear you bitchin at all. Your hunting right? Your warm right? After hunting you are drinking umbrella drinks right? You don't have to wake up and go to work right? You look around and see green and not white right? The list goes on and on and on ![]() |

Mottled ducks are thick to bad you can only shoot one. The teal and ringers are spread out thin. Time to start fishing. Good luck on your hunt who knows might have a good day. |

You are right , shouldn't bitch about it- get a little caught up sometimes though... Gotta say that even though the birds got weird, I have had more fun, and learned more this year than any other. The season as a whole has been a win for me! |

This front pushed all of our blue wings out last night here in north FL. You should see them soon. Shoot me an IM if you want to hunt on your way back north. I'm off until end of season. |

Why would you? Only thing relatively tasty is their gizzard. ..if you're into that lol I guess if that's what they wanted - food for the table - power to them - I personally dont like coots or moorhens. Teal. That was name of the game or BB whistling duck Mmmm..... Brandon M. KCCO |
