 Lake Trafford
Was Lake Trafford, in Fla. open for duck hunting last season ? If so, any good ? Please let me know P.B.

Let me start by saying that I have never even laid eyes on the lake... Old timers say that it used to be quite good back in the day, but about 10 years ago the lake was scraped, to get rid of the muck and hopefully give the bass a better chance to spawn over hard bottom. Really changed the lake from what I understand- I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to hunt it, but sounds like there really isn't much cover to make it worthwhile. Of all the guys I know who hunt down here, nobody talks currently about duck hunting there...Spec fishing and gator hunting though are a very different story! Hope this helps...

KingKey, thanks for your info; I also herd from old Miami duck hunters that this lake was good. At that time they were not STA's to compete. I'll try to find out more. thanks Pedro
