I use cut down crab trap floats. I put an anchor line with a railroad spike on one end and a line with a swivel on the other. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393458973.619033.jpg

We never used anchors on ours, but I can see needing them if you went somewhere where there is lots of open water to loose them on.

15-20 ft lines most of the time being it's kinda deep where I go.. One the 3 hook ones
1st hook ft down then one in middle and one 1ft from weight. 16" leader with swivel

2 hook ones one hook 3ft down and one 3 ft from bottom...

I have some with the PVC pipe in the middle of the doodle. They work good cuz they stand straight up when a fish is on there.

Why are y'all anchoring them? For me the whole purpose of it is to cover some ground. If I want to be stationary I'll do a trotline.. But anyhow I use 32oz Gatorade bottles with 5ft drops and a 3/0-6/0 circle. 2 liter is too bulky and 20 oz doesn't do any good. I paint the bottle white and run a band if reflective tape around the bottle.

I know where I run most of mine, you will lose them if not anchored. Tide, wind, water lilies. Tide and/or wind change, the water lilies change. They will pick them up and move them even with weights.

Do you stay with them or leave and come back.

We let ours float free across the lake. I put a 10oz weight inside the PVC pipe so when a fish bites, the weight slides down and the noodle tips up. Noodles start off laying on their sides and tip up when the weight slides.

This accomplished 2 things. Let's me know I've had a bite and let's me know to check the bait.

Nothing worse than fishing on credit.

We put ours out on Friday night when we get to the camp. Run them all weekend between other activities. Pick them up on Sunday on the way out.

That makes more sense we stay with ours. Put them out drive a couple hundred yards and hang out, checking them every hour.

I made these the foam is 12" the pipe is 14" with a cap on 1 end. I bent some wire around a broom stick like the springy side of a clothespin and bent the other 2 ends out so they would stick out through 2 holes I drilled across from each other on the pipe opposite end from the cap. And added some reflective tape

18" PVC, 12" foam, eye bolt on the end cap with swivel, tarred twine, various lengths. 1 oz egg sinker inside the PVC. Work fairly well I don't get to use them nearly enough.

Anybody ever put LED's on their noodles? My aunt uses a piece of styrofoam with a LED on top for night fishing. Looks pretty cool when its pitch black and a bunch of lights on the surface!
