just got back from the hunting in east texas, got a doe and a good spike. My buddy that lives up there got this on his camera, remember this is free ranging no fences (angelina national forest). its been a long time since ive seen pics or actual deer this big where i hunt in these circumstances. and this guy is young. Sorry the pic is chitty, i took with my cell phone after we burned his card to my laptop (kitchen light in background)

 Re: game cam pic
Nice pictures guys. I put up a trail camera back when they first came out and still had roll film. I ended up with 24 of the 27 pictures of my dad looking at the camera to see if it took pictures during the night. Turned out he checked it like 2xs a day while I was offshore. I think after that I pretty much hung up the deer guns.

 Re: game cam pic
I only hunt free roaming deer but the problem with my pic is the neighboring farmer has the same deer on his camera too. I used 35mm roll type camera for years. They were a pain in the butt. I learned alot about deer with those old cameras. One season I found a huge scrape out in the middle of a wide open field with a couple of tight thickets nearby. I put the camera on the scape on Nov 5th. On Nov9 I was running coyote traps and seen all he pics had been taken up. There was 18 different bucks ranging from little spikes to a couple 170 class deer. All had hit the scrape on Nov 7 during the night.I shot a real nice one on Nov 15th just off that scrape. My buddy from Sugarland,Tx who was up hunting with me shot another nice one near that scape too. This was out in a wide open reclaim coal fields. Those old cameras finally laid down. Randy
