Video I put together of a trip out of North Carolina a couple weeks ago. Camera battery died and missed a couple fish in the middle. Ended up with 12 yellowfin in the box. We dont have the rigs like you guys in the Gulf so fishing is a little different. |

You would have to copy the address then select the YouTube button above the text box to get it to display on the desktop. |

You have to remove the "S" from the HTTP:// when using YouTube brackets. |

Thanks. I was doing the gaffing. I worked as a mate for a handful of years so have had some practice. All of mine made it in the boat but we lost 1 at the boat when we had 6 hooked up. Got 2 others that the camera died on so they didn't make the video |

Haha the first couple were definitely borderline. The first fish in the box was 27.5" second was 29. Gotta be 27" up here to keep 3 a piece. The rest were all 30-40lb. We dont see the big yellowfins up here much. 30-50lb is average and maybe once a year we will get a brief run of 70-90lb. We do get quite a few Bigeyes up to 250lbs or so and depending on the season will catch bluefins anywhere from 15" to 600+ lbs. |

I have done it a couple times but haven't had any luck. My friend had caught a few out there and up here off Maryland they will catch some too |

Too small of one. It is a 27 trophy. Once a year I take it someplace far away for a trip. I started going to Gloucester a few years ago. I like it up there because if the tide isn't right for the bluefin we will fish for cod or haddock. I really like live lining mackerels at night for the stripers. I am looking into an aluminum 27 footer but the manufacturer is on the west coast. |

That's awesome. Pretty cool idea to go someplace different each year. Yeah my buddy has a 24' Grady white we do a decent bit of fishing on but I will choose one of these 50 some foot Carolina sport fishes any day of the week haha. I used to mate offshore 100+ days a year. I wish I never got out of it at times but it's nice just to go with friends that are running or mating on these boats now |
