So my pup got one of my good calls and need an idea for a new one. The call she ate was a Hayes lil bad azz and I really liked it. Need something under 80 with 2 reeds . I hunt alot of open water so I wanna get out far but also get down and nasty when they get close. Any ideas would be great. :D

Get a single reed call. Anything from RNT is a winner. My personal favorite is a Mondo.

Go with one of the following...
Drake Brake, Lares, commited custom calls, or Raggio. A Raggio will be the next call I buy

I really like my echo timber. I've got a few high dollar acrylic calls but the el cheapo sounds just about as good.

X2 on the single reed. Echo makes a great call.

Find another $30 and get a great call. If you haven't blown one of Ronald Laun's calls(RM Custom Calls)do yourself a favor and get one. I'll second Mike Stelzner as well. His Justifier is bad ass. I haven't blown his new one yet, but it knocked his Justifier off his lanyard if that days anything. They are both great guys and awesome call makers.

I guess, are you from down that way? My last few calls have all been from Mike, although I don't really buy many duck calls anymore.

Med, you can have this if you leave that Lares with me for a little bit..

Lol. Just buy ya one and get a reed pack from Lares. If you don't like it you can move it for sure. I'll buy the reeds from you and the most you will lose on the call would be maybe 5$. Having a Lares is like having a bond you can always cash in. Someone will buy it .....guaranteed. I'd get a small bore t1 unless you are good with an open bore call..(hybrid). Being new to singles I can't control my air quite enough for an open call. When I pick up that part I'll bring my t1 and some reeds and you can mess with it.
