Wonder why they just wouldn't use a bowfishing rig? Its legal to take them with a bow in Arkansas, may have to try it. |

We had a particuler place where they were real skittish and would lay on the surface in open water (not on hydrilla) No way to get close enough for a gig, really too far for a fish arrow so... light weight bow slinging aluminum arrows 2.5" longer, field point, rubber stopper, closed cell foam, and a home made barb. If you miss, the arrow floats back up. If you hit, the frog stays on the arrow.  |

The best part about it (to me) is, if you have a friend and yall split up walking around a pond or something, you know every time they get one. Sounds like you hit a goat in the gut with a 2x4 Can't help but laugh
