So I drew a tundra swan tag for North Dakota this year... I should have no problem getting one, since every year I have the opportunity to shoot dozens there.

I killed many years ago, but it tasted like a crap. The only reason I tried for a tag this year is to mount one. Anyone had one mounted before and recommend a taxidermist? I've found a couple online, but I haven't settled on one yet.

I'm thinking a flying mount hung from the ceiling would be cool Once I have one mounted, I see no reason to ever shoot another.

Many years ago I would watch swans everyday looking for one with a neck collar while hunting in ND. Seen a few collars however they did not fly over me. As you know they are about as easy to kill as a deer at night.

This is mine in the final stages. Friend of mine from NC is doing it.

I've been lucky enough to see hundreds of them when I lived in NC
But I never pulled a tag.

I like cooked Swan. Put the cubed up breast in the slow cooker with onion, gravey mix, soy sauce and cook for 1/2 a day. Or cubed fry it off with fish sauce then into a pan with curry powder, coconut cream, cubed potatoes, sweet chilly sauce, tomato paste and salt. Cook at 150c for 4 hours. Melt in your mouth.
