Age old question on here I'm sure but what shades and why? Glass or plastic? |

I've had almost every brand, I now wear costa. I have both plastic and glass. I love my 580 in copper tint, especially for sight fishing. |

That's exactly what I had but I've put 2 sets of lenses in them and my Lab got ahold of the arm and chewed it up last week. ![]() |

I've had glass and poly Costas and the glass doesn't hardly scratch but will crack if dropped sometimes. But the poly will scratch to hell and back. I would rather take my chances with the glass mainly because they don't scratch. Sent from my beeper |

Glass imo, have both Costas and Maui Jims. I like Maui's alot more than the Costas also Maui repairs are 5x as fast as Costas. |

Glass for sure. I'm partial to the blue Costa 580s. It's definitely heavier than poly, but don't scratch nearly as easy. |

Best pair I ever had were metal frame glass lens Oakley's. But somebody decided they needed them more than me, too bad they don't make them anymore. |

I've always been partial to Oakley but I've never tried any others. Polarized is a must. |

I have a pair of Costas that I've sent back 3 damn times, warranty is warranty but the hassle aint worth it. The Costas are too dark on cloudy days when it's sunny one minute and a thick cloud comes over the next, the Smiths I have transition to that light. When it's sunny, they look like they have a mirror finish, a little cloud comes up and you can see my eyes through them. By far the best pair I've ever had. Beside that the polarization is better to me also. The Costas, you had to have your head just right and look retarded trying to see something ![]() |

I've owned them all and I prefer revo's. The hinges are metal, and to me they feel less "plasticky" than other brands. I have the amber glass, and the poly smoke. |

I bought some Body Glove polarized and they are really good sunglasses. They float too which is a big plus IMO |
