I fished in a lake in a country club golf course around Atlanta a few years ago and the geese were everywhere, a nuisance really. What golf course did you hunt? ![]() |

Looks like a good massacre. Hunting residence geese the first couple days of the season is easy. After about ten days they become trophys. Oncall make you a camo clad human manikin and put it on the edge of the lake you are not hunting. That way when the geese start skirting the decoys and head to another pond they will see the 'hunter' and head back to the decoys. When Indiana started the Sept nuisance season many years ago I had access to some of the best spots in the area. After a good flogging they would wisen up. I made a manikin hunter and a coyote to put in spots I was not hunting. Tuned them up real good after the initial fly by. My buddy has a lake like yours and he told me he would walk out and throw a plastic worm for bass after work wearing his work cloths. The geese would lounge around like normal. When he would walk out to fish in camo cloths they would flush off and fly like they seen the devil. After a while residence geese become 'Einsteins' Thanks for the picture. |
