Post Steel shot alternatives
Any of you guys shooting bismuth, tungsten, or somethin other than steel? What do you shoot and how do you like it?

I don't get a lot of chances to hunt anymore, and its no secret steel shot fucking sucks, I want to get the most outta my shells and crumple the ducks. Money isn't really an issue

I used to shoot bismuth or tungsten matrix out of my great grandfather's model 12. Would only take it a couple days a season and on hunts I knew it wouldn't get wet or muddy. The shot worked good but can't say it was night and day difference. Normally I'm not shooting much more than 30 yards so I haven't had much of an issue with steel. I do remember a few shots where the lone stranger was trying to get out of the spread and dropped him stone dead 45 or 50 yds but only a couple in a bunch of years.
