First off I'll go ahead and say my buddies and I are avid duck hunters....not your DD crowd. We're all in our late 20s and have been hunting ducks since we could walk and carry a shotgun. We're all from SE Texas, and the marsh is our way of life. That being said, we are looking for a change of scenery for a few days. My buddie's mom lives in Chelsea, OK so we are making a trip up there Dec 16th- 21st. We've done hours of research on all the hunting areas around Oologah and I see there are various walk-ins, areas to access by boat, and miles of fields. I'm not looking for your GPS coordinates to your blind, but rather some general information on the area. We plan on spending our first day up there scouting...the entire day. We all understand it takes work to be able to hunt successfully. That being said, how's the season up there been going? Anyone have some good information for us? Also...if anyone is willing to let us hunt with them on some private land, good public land, etc...then ya'll are more than welcome to come hunt with us down in Texas. We are just looking for a little GREEN in our lives!! Any help/insight is greatly appreciated guys...happy hunting.
